The advent of new technologies based on digital solutions is creating many opportunities in the healthcare sector, with particular interest in mental health. In fact, in this field, the application of innovative solutions is particularly favored by the possibility of identifying, monitoring, and managing problematic situations with tools that are minimally invasive in terms of individual privacy but very effective in enabling appropriate intervention from a treatment perspective.
In the field of addictions (to substances or behaviors), their application can be aimed at promoting:
– the implementation of interventions that do not require the constant physical presence of the subject;
– the provision of supplementary and convergent interventions compared to those usually adopted;
– with particular reference to recently introduced pharmacological therapies (long acting);
– monitoring clinical evolution and maintaining the aftercare phase.
The available and adoptable solutions are numerous, and their acquisition can be implemented in various reference contexts such as prevention interventions, outpatient and residential treatments, those dedicated to the phase of social and work reintegration with relapse prevention. To facilitate the acquisition and development of innovative initiatives, it is essential to launch dedicated training plans for professionals working in the various reference contexts: in fact, it is well known that the main obstacle to the implementation of innovative actions or projects lies in the resistance to change by professionals. This resistance is, in most cases, due to a lack of knowledge of the available solutions and their favorable impact in the specific work context. The aim of the course is to transfer knowledge in a transformative learning context to facilitate the acquisition and emergence of skills to be applied in the implementation of technological innovation and digital transformation projects; as indicated in the 2023-2025 National ECM Program, which sets as one of its objec
tives, the strengthening of the training offer regarding digital innovation.
Access to the course requires the completion of a knowledge survey by the learners.
This survey, which aims to stimulate constructive thinking among participants, consists of a questionnaire investigating the following aspects: perception of the advantages and opportunities related to technological and digital transition, actual or planned adoption of organizational initiatives and technological and digital solutions, elements hindering their practical adoption.
From the survey and subsequent data analysis, then shared with the participants, it is expected to raise critical reflection on the main topics covered and to gather information regarding:
– local training needs (on-the-job training for skill and project development)
– need for technological and digital solutions to support operational practices;
– detection of existing local initiatives, their evaluation and possible sharing with others
– monitoring the evolution of technological and digital transition.
